Fine Inlay of Bone and Horn - SOLD
This unique door from Gujarat (Western India) is a unique example of an old Teak door that was later adorned with a delicate fine quality inlay of bone and horn. The inlay on these three-paneled doors features patterns of leaves and potted vines, and the doors are joined with a brass hasp. This door is in excellent condition and represents a very functional piece of fine art.
This wooden door from India is between 80-100 years old. It was made by skilled craftsmen from solid Teak and carved with traditional Mughal patterns and metalwork.
